Cardiac Surgical Technician, Per Diem (Days) - Main OR West Valley
DescriptionThe Cardiac Surgical Tech completes surgical set-ups according to department standards and physician preference cards. The Surgical Tech is a member of the surgical team providing care to the patient and is responsible for maintaining the sterile field; surgical instrumentation; preparation of supplies and equipment; as well as other related duties. Duties include anticipating physician needs at the sterile field, preparing supplies, instruments and equipment. The Surgical Tech is responsible for implementing aseptic technique, practices related to prevention of retained foreign objects, safe medication labeling and handling, anticipatory skills related to the sequence of the procedure
