Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-time Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist for Cardiac Cath Lab at Newton Medical Center, working primarily 7-5pm and on-call as scheduled.
Essential Job Function:
Prepare room for all Cath Lab procedures.
Power on all equipment and assures proper function.
Calibrate and/or balance all equipment.
Prepare patient for procedures (attach EKG and Nessary monitoring equipment).
Explain in detail all aspects of the test to be performed.
Assist physician at tableside for LHC, FHC and as 1st Assist during interventional procedure.
Previous Cath Lab experience. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Candidate will assist physician(s) with CATH/PCI, Peripheral and IR cases. Must attend educational in-services and training as required.
Administers post recovery care of patients including, arterial and venous sheath removal, and manage arterial access site.
Perform and provide appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal and professional guidelines.
Demonstrates knowledge of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and proper care of all equipment.
Adheres to On-call policy requirements and responds appropriate to emergency per unit policy.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited radiology school or accredited CVT School
New Jersey RT License required if RT
ARRT (R) or RCIS required
1-2 years cath lab or interventional radiology experience preferred
