The role you’ll contribute:
The Nursing House Supervisor is responsible for supervision & coordination of nursing activities on a hospital-wide level. This position is an extension of the departmental managers in their absence and is delegated the responsibility to act as nursing administration as assigned with hospital administrative personnel available on-call. The Supervisor serves as a resource/facilitator for patient care and assumes responsibility for Patient Care Services/Nursing Administration duties when other hospital and department managers are not available. This person makes rounds on the patient care units and is available as needed for issues that benefit from management help and/or intervention. This position is responsible to be a clinical and service resource, to ensure appropriate patient placement, supervise clinical activities, maintain disaster training skills, and to coordinate safe and appropriate patient care between all departments and disciplines.
Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- ASN (Required)
- BSN (Preferred)
- Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS and PALS required within one year.
- Successfully completed arrhythmia recognition competency during orientation
- Demonstrated clinical competence of three years RN experience required with two years in an acute care setting such as (PCU, ICU, ED, or OB)
