Interventional Rad Tech FT Days Position Summary
Working lead. Coordinates the scheduling and efforts of the Special Procedures Technologists. Trains and Mentors staff. Ability to perform duties of ARRT Technologist when not performing Special Procedures. Performs a variety of interventional radiological procedures. Responsible for on-call procedures when indicated. In Absence of Supervisor/Director, this position oversees the Special Procedures Department to ensure that the unit is operating efficiently and effectively.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent verbal communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff. Problem solving skills.
SUPERVISES: Functional supervision may be exercised over cross-training Radiologic Technologists and/or students.
THE INTERVENTIONAL RAD TECH LEAD FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two years Special Procedures experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Three years Special Procedures experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Currently Certified and Registered in Radiography R.T. (R)(CRT). CPR required.
