Overview
Newton Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (EKG/Stress) for the Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Department working varied shifts, including every other weekend and on-call.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Perform non-invasive cardiac ultrasound in accordance with established departmental protocols and policies (as per ASE and IAC guidelines)
- Perform adult echo, TEE and stress echos
- Perform complete and thorough valve assessments and must be proficient with pedof probe
- Comply with hospital policies and procedures, attend department meetings and participate in various projects or assignments
- Effective communication skills with patients, physicians, and other hospital personnel
- Candidate would be expected to promote Atlantic Health System PRIDE values and meet the requirements of a Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist's Criteria Based Performance Appraisal
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology program preferred
- Must be able to take blood pressure measurements, Prior arrhythmia experience a plus.
- BLS certification Required
