Applicants must meet the on-call requirement which includes a 30-minute travel time to the facility.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Circulator for cardiac catheterization procedures and electrophysiology procedures
Coordinate effective handling of emergencies
Effective communication with physicians and interdepartmental staff
What You Will Need:
500 hours at a level 2 cardiac catheterization lab or will train appropriate applicant.
Nursing- Associate Degree
Minimum of 1 year experience as an RN in a hospital setting. (Telemetry/PCU etc.)
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Florida
Conscious sedation certification within 6 months of hire date
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Certified in ANCC or other nationally recognized nursing specialty applicable to the area
2 years in ICU setting
The Cardiac Catheterization nurse will provide quality nursing care by assessing patient status during Cardiology related procedures. Demonstrates educational and managerial skills in dealing with other department personnel and quality assurance programs. Is responsible for nursing care for those patients in the Cardiac Cath/Lab, Echocardiography, Cardiac Rehab and Stress Testing Lab.
