POSITION SUMMARY: Perform a variety of clerical and patient-related duties under the direct supervision of the RN and or MD to include but not limited to: Answering the telephone, transcribing orders, contacting private physicians, maintaining computer log. Order and restock supplies, clean exam areas, assemble supplies for patient care, restock room carts.Perform Electrocardiograms, simple wound cleaning and dressing changes, vital signs, setting patients up for procedures, patient transportation, and assist with CPR to include manual compressions.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Required: Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic Program

Desired: Recent acute care/clinic experience

Preferred: Paramedic experience

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Required: AHA-BLS-HCP/ Current EMT-Paramedic(EMT-P) certification.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
