Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an advanced heart failure/heart transplant cardiologist to join a young, established and thriving hospital-based adult heart failure/heart transplant and advanced mechanical support program. Qualified candidates should be BE/BC in cardiovascular disease as well as in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. In addition, all candidates should have clinical competency and expertise in caring for patients with mechanical circulatory devices, ECMO and pulmonary hypertension. The successful physician will be actively involved in Graduate Medical Education and should have the desire to teach residents and fellows. The program also participates in numerous national multi-center research trials.

In addition to a large general cardiology practice, the Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute includes all relevant subspecialties including electrophysiology, preventative and interventional cardiology, vascular, congenital heart disease, imaging and genetics. The cardiothoracic program has also earned and maintained a three-star rating. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a 232-bed freestanding facility and part of the Memorial Healthcare System, has an established and highly recognized pediatric heart transplant program.

This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
