Assists with overseeing daily operations in the Electrophysiology Laboratory. Helps to ensure that proper procedures and techniques are performed during daily operations.
Provide the knowledge and technical skills needed to operate and maintain lab equipment necessary for procedures.
Makes recommendations on staffing and human resource issues, including initial hiring of staff, orientation, competency assessment, disciplinary actions, and completion of periodic and annual performance evaluations.
Provides input or direct help during implementation of new equipment and technology.
Serve as a point person for laboratory staff to rely on when assistance is needed for proper use of lab equipment.
Observes fellow technologists and registered nurses for adherence to protocols established for safe and effective operations.
Participating in, and assigning technologists and registered nureses quality control duties to achieve the highest level of care and efficiency.
Assists the Operation Manager in assigning a work schedule for staff and completing internal audits that are applicable to the department.
Assists the Operations Manager in overseeing general technical operations in the department.
Performs monthly back-ups of digital physiologic data recorded during lab procedures.
Handles personnel and other operational issues in the absence of the Operations Manager, Electrophysiology labs; exhibits ability to function independently in this role.
Works in partnership as part of the team of clerical and nursing staff, and clinic support for the benefit of the patient.
Communicates in a timely and respectful manner; actively listens.
