DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital - Michigan's first Level 1 Trauma Center and one of the busiest and most well-equipped emergency departments, this hospital trains nearly half of the practicing emergency medicine physicians in the state.
Under direction of the Chief Strategy Officer, supports annual and multi-year business planning for Detroit Medical Center - Adult Central Campus, working closely with hospital strategy, operations, and clinical leaders. These efforts include integrating market health care utilization data and competitive dynamic insights into forecasting, business opportunity identification, assessment, planning, and managing execution of prioritized growth initiatives. Independently leads market assessment and pro-forma development for major capital projects. Develops and maintains market analytics and business intelligence solution(s). Partners with market leaders, as appropriate, and develops communications for senior executives and Board discussions.
Analytical ability to serve in an advisory/consultative role in determining and/or developing strategies, policies, processes, protocols and methods, frequently in the absence of guidelines or technical assistance, and to evaluate and implement complex systems/techniques and/or processes that foster innovative approaches to improve current functions. Bachelorï¿½s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or related discipline. MBA or Masters in Health Care Administration (preferred).
2. Five years of related work experience in financial services, management consulting or business planning in health care.
3. Advanced Excel and Querying skills; substantial experience with data analysis and modeling. Experience with building, developing and validating Tableau (data visualization software) reports preferred.
