Assists Electrophysiology (EP) physicians in diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias and neurocardiogenic syncope through support of electrophysiologic evaluations, pacemaker insertion / replacements, ablation procedures, intracardiac echo, PVIs (pulmonary vein isolations), DFTs (Defibrillator Thresholds), & laser lead extractions. Able to assess connectivity of EP equipment, operate stimulator, operate mapping system, and record data. Ensure provision of sterile procedural area and works in conjunction with anesthesia and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care. Work directly with program director and hospital leadership to ensure quality data abstraction, ongoing process improvement, and accurate patient billing. Other task as assigned.
Performs all cardiac cath lab procedures as to meet staffing necessity. Scrubs and monitors cardiac, peripheral vascular and electrophysiology procedures.
Education: Registered Nurse, Registered Radiographic Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Specialist. Must complete advanced dysrhythmia training.
Experience: At least (2) years' experience as an RN or Cardiovascular Technologist in cath lab and (1) year experience in dedicated EP lab setting.
