Inland Valley Medical Center
A 122 bed acute care hospital which features the regions only Level II Trauma Unit and is the county-designated Paramedical Base station and Southwest Riverside County's only Center of Excellence in Weight Loss Surgery.
Rancho Springs Medical Center
120 bed acute care hospital which includes the region's largest birthing center along with the area's only NICU in combination with Rady Children's Hospital and the region's first da Vinci Robotic Surgical Program.
Non-Invasive Cardiology Registered Nurses identify and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patients clinical presentation/diagnosis and tolerance of diagnostic testing/scheduled procedure. Pre screens patients lab works, mobility, allergies, and medication history prior to diagnostic test/scheduled procedure. Identifies specific nursing diagnosis is relevant to assessment findings. Appropriately notifies physician if scheduled diagnostic test or procedure is impacted by assessment. Performs interventions identified specific to the patients individual needs to ensure safe, successful diagnostic/scheduled procedures. Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate to all multidisciplinary health care team. Uses SBAR method. Conducts patient/family education regarding the specific test/procedure performed. Accountable for own conduct and independent decisions made in the course of the job performance. Changes priorities based on new assessment data of individual patient and schedule. Demonstrates the ability to utilize monitoring systems, assess findings, intervene as indicated and evaluate. Performs procedural time outs. Demonstrates knowledge of Moderate sedation and experience in administering procedural sedation. Able to perform Stress test which include but not limited to: Lexiscans and Treadmills, Dobutamine and Echo stress test. Demonstrates ability to perform a 12 lead EKG, Defibrillation, Synchronized Cardioversion, Transesophageal Echocardiogram. I need the employee to be able to work in a high volume, fluctuating census environment. Subject to many interruptions, subject to irregular hours, the ability to work fast paced using critical thinking and safe sound judgment. The position requires an RN with good communication skills who thrives on working independently with cardiologist and has the confidence to do so.
