The Supervisor has shared accountability for the success of the Breast Center and its satellite center(s) for MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. The Supervisor works directly with the Director of Breast Services in partnership with the medical director, physicians, technologists, department ancillary staff, and other departments within the medical center. Provides supports recruitment of technical staff, trains all technologists and key ancillary staff ensuring that a high level of clinical quality, productivity, and customer services are upheld. Ensures policies and procedure practices are followed to maintain compliance with all accrediting agencies; MQSA, FDA, ACR, Title 17 & 22, JCAHO, CMS, and any additional agency changes to ensure optimum patient care and safety by providing high quality, cost effective services.
Requires California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Mammography certifications, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certificate.
Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree is required.
Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field and breast ultrasound certified.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diagnostic mammography technologist.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in radiology/breast imaging.
